CASE STUDY: TECH SECTOR

Stretching the Budget to Include Global Audiences 65% in Cost-Savings vs On-Site support.

Challenge:

Budget for on-site event limited languages we were able to support via traditional conference interpreting.

Solution:

  • Hybrid approach with remote interpreters, removing logistics costs.
  • For lower-visibility sessions, machine interpreting and live captions.
  • Both solutions were made available via signage next to each session room in 4 supported languages with QR code to alert attendees live translation was available and a direct link to each session via mobile access.

Results

  • Attendees ease of access to interpreters & synthetic audio.
  • Utilization report of languages accessed by session was provided for future budgetary and strategic language support planning.
  • Savings of ~65% by switching from traditional setup to hybrid.
  • This allowed us to add a 3rd language to the Keynote sessions and repurpose remaining budget to include Machine Interpreting and subtitles support for 4 breakout rooms, expanding language access for attendees.
