The Auction brought together over 430 influential community members representing the region’s business and professional communities, including law, medicine, high-tech and bio-tech industries, foundations and social justice organizations, as well as cultural and community-based organizations and survivors of domestic violence.
Welocalize was one of six Community Partners to sponsor the event. “We were delighted to have such a wonderful turnout, and are grateful for the generous contributions of Welocalize and other sponsors,” said Pradeepta Upadhyay, Executive Director of Chaya. “It is truly an honor to have so many people in the community come together to support Chaya and commit to ending violence in our communities.”
“Chaya has done a great job of building a network of people who understand cultural differences and challenge stigmas often associated with domestic violence,” said Chris Grebisz, COO of Welocalize located in Portland, OR. “It is reassuring to know such programs exist right in our backyard.
