svp, supply chain + production business units

Olga is SVP, Supply Chain and Production Business Units at Welocalize. Her main responsibility is to drive supply chain optimization in order to support profitable scale in a rapid growth environment. She’s a firm believer in harnessing everyone’s strengths to deliver results and using the right process and technology to everyone’s advantage. In an industry that is constantly evolving, Olga views new challenges as exciting opportunities that bring the need to raise our game and stay ahead of the curve.

Olga joined Welocalize at the end of 2006 as Director, Vendor Management having worked in the localization industry since 1995. She previously held leadership positions at Lionbridge (formerly Bowne Global Solutions and Berlitz GlobalNET). During her 10 years in the combined entity she acquired extensive experience in managing and coaching both Language Services teams and highly complex supply chains through substantial mergers and acquisitions that led to a company of over USD 400 million in business. Olga started her career as a translator in her native Barcelona at a time when language technology was in its early stages and all processes were fairly manual. Her move to Berlitz GlobalNET Ireland fundamentally changed her life as she slowly but surely got immersed into process improvement, quality and capacity jigsaws and the evolution of translation tools until she was given the opportunity to grow and make a difference in leadership roles.

Olga is a corporate nomad and her natural habitat is planes and hotels, but is otherwise based in Dublin. She¹s known for her borderline obsession with business analytics and spreadsheets, buying shoes and wearing unusual accessories. She also has a passion for music and dance, holds a music degree and has been performing with a Dublin fusion dance company for
10 years. Olga loves the rituals of cooking for the masses and sitting at a table with lots of friends or family to enjoy good food and good company.

Her favorite escapes include a number of Mediterranean islands, and can never get enough of the sun and the sea.
