Jeff Ash joined Welocalize at the start of 2013 as Chief Financial Officer. Having spent more than two decades in a variety of financial and operational roles both with Fortune 500 companies and groundbreaking startups, Jeff was attracted to Welocalize because of its focus on customer service and dynamic, innovative culture. Looking for a company where he could do things differently, he quickly realized that Welocalize would be a perfect fit.
As our new CFO he’ll be leading the charge toward profitable and sustainable growth, instituting efficient and effective accounting and overseeing the entire financial operation of the company. Fortunately, he has the experience and expertise to take on all of the above.
Starting his career at Price Waterhouse, Jeff spent six years focused on the technology and communications industries. He went on to fill important financial positions with TeleCorp PCS (subsequently a part of AT&T Wireless) and AOL-Time Warner. In 2007 Jeff became the CFO of BabyCenter, the largest global online resource for new and expecting parents with local sites in over 20 countries. Three years later he took on the CFO spot at Six Apart, one of the first and largest platforms for blogging and content distribution online. When the company merged with VideoEgg in 2012 to form Say Media, Jeff became the new company’s Senior Vice President, Operations, responsible for global advertising content production and advertising operations.
Jeff received his MBA from William & Mary, and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He lives in Frederick, MD, with his wife Cindy and three children. While most of his free time is spent keeping up with his energetic family, he is also an avid reader and rabid Georgia Bulldog fan.
