cfo, chief financial officer
Jeff Ash is Welocalize’s Chief Financial Officer. Having spent more than two decades in a variety of financial and operational roles with both Fortune 500 companies and technology startups, Jeff was attracted to Welocalize because of its focus on customer service and dynamic, innovative culture. Looking for a company where he could do things differently, he quickly realized that Welocalize would be a perfect fit.
Jeff started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and six years focused on the technology and communications industries. He went on to serve in financial positions with TeleCorp PCS (subsequently a part of AT&T Wireless) and AOL-Time Warner. In 2007, Jeff became the CFO of BabyCenter, the largest global online resource for new and expecting parents with local sites in over 20 countries. Three years later he took on the CFO spot at Six Apart, one of the first and largest platforms for blogging and content distribution online. When the company merged with VideoEgg in 2012 to form Say Media, Jeff became the new company’s Senior Vice President, Operations, responsible for global advertising content production and advertising operations.
As CFO at Welocalize, he’s responsible for leading the charge toward profitable and sustainable growth, instituting efficient and effective accounting and overseeing the financial, HR and other administrative operations of the company.
Jeff received his MBA from William & Mary and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He has three children and lives in Frederick, MD. While most of his free time is spent keeping up with his energetic family, he is also an avid reader and rabid Georgia Bulldog fan.
